About me
Naturopathic therapist and psychologist
After completing my studies in cognitive psychology at Maastricht University, I trained as a health therapist at the European Academy. A broad four-year higher vocational education, covering many different naturopathic disciplines. This was followed by many (shorter) training courses and courses, including kinesiology, bioenergetic dentistry, therapeutic microbiology (intestinal therapy) and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy. I combine all this knowledge and expertise in my practice for natural medicine, in which I guide people towards more balance and awareness.
In my practice I pay attention to body, mind and soul.
When you feel safe, you dare to look in the mirror . Getting to know yourself and gaining more insight into connections creates more connection with yourself. Unraveling your story and facing what is true is the way to healing. We don't travel alone!

Naturopathy in practice
Naturopathy
In naturopathy, we look at the whole person.
Our focus is on viewing patients with a holistic view, instead of focusing on the disease or symptoms. Healing is all about strengthening our self-healing capacity. Your body can essentially do everything itself, provided the conditions are right. The right nutrition, extra supplements in case of deficiencies, stress management, the elimination of existing health burden...
Health could be summarised as: making the right decision in every moment. Seeing your lifestyle as a medicine is, in my view, the medical practice of the future.
Psychosomatics
I pay attention to the underlying psycho-emotional causes of symptoms and their message to you. The 'why' of a complaint often provides a lot of interesting information about the spiritual/emotional meaning. I see illness as an expression or messenger of imbalance.
But you don't have to be sick to get better!
Detoxification
We are constantly in contact with pollutants and our bodies also produce them. Proper excretion is a very important aspect of staying healthy.
This can be stimulated and/or supported by certain herbs or other nutritional supplements.
Nutrition and digestion
Nutrition is the basis of our health, but what's the right nutrition for each individual?
The choices you make in this area can strengthen or weaken your system. You are not what you eat, but what you absorb!
Dealing with stress
Stress is the most undermining factor of all. Understanding how tension and relaxation work and integrating this knowledge into your life, is an important key to health and well-being. The better you know yourself, the more you can be aware of what causes you stress.
Self-compassion
Self-compassion means to experience emotional balance through focusing on kindness towards yourself. Feeling compassion for yourself and knowing you are not alone.
My work
Consultations
A naturopathic consultation in my practice usually consists of a conversation, the application of kinesiology and other elements that differ per client. All therapies can be applied complementary (so next to the 'standard' medical care).

Kinesiology
Kinesiology makes use of a muscle tension test, which is used as a biofeedback. I apply gentle pressure to a muscle and feel how it reacts. In this way, the body shows any blockages or imbalances that disrupt with well-being. I make use of the (unconscious) body awareness and thus act as an interpreter of your subconscious.
Individual trajectory
After the intake consultation we determine together an individual route with corresponding goals, in which you actively get to work. I provide forms of therapy and guide your process, but naturopathy appeals to your own responsibility. In the end, you will have to do the work yourself to make progress.
